"The Greatest Mistake Insurance Agents Make With Their Website is NEGLECT."

Over the past six years designing and marketing insurance agent web sites, one of the greatest errors I see among agent sites is "NEGLECT".

There are many reasons this happens, but if you ever hope to make sales on the web, your site content must be ever changing and improving. Here are some "basic" things you must be doing with your agency web site day in, and day out:

1) You need to submit your web site, and as many of the subpages you can to the major search engines. If you do not know how to do this, learn! There are many resources on the web to teach you how. If you don't want to learn, or do not have the time, use our service at http://www.submit-by-hand.com. We can do the work for you for only $10.00 per page - but it would be very good for YOU to learn how. "By hand" submissions are important in getting traffic to your site.

2) You need to be improving your site's technical aspects. This means you need to be working on and changing your meta tags (these are pieces of code on each page which search engines and other resources use to catalog your web page on their sites). You need to be improving your marketing emphasis by changing your web page content based on what you are selling and not selling, so as to attract the right viewers for the right insurance products you offer. You need to be making sure your site looks attractive and state of the art (many pages I fix or look at, appear to have been coded back in the stone age of the computer era!). For these concepts and many other great web site selling ideas, I suggest you get my $25.00 book, "Selling Insurance on the Internet". It would be a great investment if you hope to sell insurance on the web.

3) You need a person in your office dedicated to make your site current, and who will care enough about the site to make it work. This person should know how to code web pages, and be willing to learn as much as they can about marketing and the Internet so your site is a success. If you don't have such a person, for goodness sake, spend $50 or $100 a month and let us be a full time webmaster for you. For $50 you get two hours of programming time, web site search engine submissions and consultations. For $100, you get the same thing including 4 hours of programming, search engine marketing advice, and unlimited marketing consultations. If you'd like to join our webmastering program, Click Here to E-mail Me, and tell me you'd like more information on this service.

Don't Neglect Your Web Site! There is a huge potential out there for agents who are dedicated to getting their sites, and KEEPING their sites in top shape. Our agency sells 50 to 100 policies a month just from web inquiries - so I can tell you - the Internet is the place to be!
